Maximizing Employee Job Contribution

Job Performance Coaching has been defined as the ability to unlock a person’s potential to maximize their contribution guiding, facilitating, and helping them to learn rather than directing and telling them how to perform.  As the world of work in the 21st century continues to dramatically change the focus on job performance, value-added performance has now become much more critical than ever in a very different and challenging business environment. Being an effective performance coach is a mandatory skill for leadership at all levels. Without this competency, a leader may find it impossible to ensure maximum job performance from employees at any level. Faced with ever-increasing pressures and accelerating change, organizations today depend more on their people to learn and change quickly to continuously adapt and remain competitive. This challenge can only be met by balancing three critical factors:

  • the organization’s need for continuous performance improvement at all levels
  • the individual’s inner-drive, motivation, and passion for exceptional performance
  • the leader’s capacity and capability to guide & coach exceptional levels of high-performance.

During this 8-hour workshop we will focus on the following key learning objectives:

  • Defining Coaching & Counseling
  • The Business case for Coaching in the 21st Century
  • Coaching vs. Counseling – Understanding the Role of the Leader
  • How Communication & Feedback Impact Performance Coaching
  • Setting & Communication Performance Direction – The Framework for Effective Coaching
  • The GROW Coaching Model – Maximizing Performance
  • The Skills of Exceptional Performance Coaching – 20 Best Practices for High-Performance
  • Coaching Do’s & Don’ts
  • An Overview of Job Performance Counseling – The Basics
  • Legal Implications
  • On-the-Job Action Planning
