U.S. businesses are being exposed to more aggressive, better funded, and increasingly sophisticated strategies designed to expand union membership. Even if your company is non-union, the NLRA applies to your organization and much of the guidance coming from the current National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) affects your handbook policies. In this session, the following will be covered:
- The National Labor Relations Act and how it affects employees in non-union workplaces.
- Section 7 Rights under the NLRA.
- The methods used for union organizing and understanding petitions, unfair labor practices, and the election process.
- Current decisions from the NLRB that affect handbook policies.
