This interactive, one-day class introduces participants to the powerful skill of problem resolution through the use of unique workplace mediation skills. The mediator-led discussion results in participants being able to control and complete business communications at all levels, and of all types, quickly and effectively.

Interactive exercises teach:

  • How mediation skills look and feel to those around you;
  • How to find common ground among others involved;
  • How to brainstorm and produce mutually agreeable options;
  • The importance of agreeing to priorities and expectations;
  • How to avoid ambushes and quirky agreements.

Who should attend: The course is designed for HR professionals, project managers, those who supervise, legal teams, and every person who has a responsibility to resolve workplace problems.

The goal: The goal is to give participants an immediate and workable understanding of an important, easy to use option for their business lives – mediation technique. From the technical needs of employee relations, legal, and human resources professionals, to the setbacks found in other internal business disagreements, the class is designed to assure that participants gain a clear sense of workplace reasoning, professional concepts, hurdles, and mutual benefits.

The challenge: How do HR professionals, executives and other workplace partners make extreme use of their time when resolving disagreements? When employee communication mishaps exist they need to be put to rest fast. Issues can include formal disagreements between employer and employee, or they can be found in the less formal day-to-day working relationships. Whatever the circumstances, the challenge is to get people to resolve differences before they lead to larger disputes or business dysfunction.

The result: If you have ever wondered why workplace mediation has become such a popular option in more formal disagreements, this presentation will give you great subject matter expertise and insights. More importantly, the course prepares you to assure that any workplace situation you are drawn into is handled professionally, and that your role in the process is one of added value.
