CANCELLATION & NO-SHOW POLICY – Registrants who do not cancel with a 48-hour notice and who do not attend will be invoiced for the entire fee. Substitutions may be made at any time.
This 1-1/2 day training program is intended to provide general industry information about workers’ rights, employer responsibilities and how to identify, avoid and prevent hazards at work. It covers a variety of variety of general industry safety and health hazards which a worker may encounter. Training will emphasize hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, relative to OSHA standards. The class will review key aspects of the regulations and provide implementation and compliance strategies. This course is facilitated by an OSHA Outreach Trainer using OSHA approved instructional material.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Safety Coordinators, Safety Committee Members, Human Resource Managers, Operations Managers, Supervisors, or any employee within manufacturing facilities.
MANDATORY TOPICS ARE:
- Introduction to OSHA
- Walking and Working Surfaces, including fall prevention
- Exit Routes, Fire Prevention Plans, Fire Protection and Emergency Action Plans
- Hazard Communication – including GHS requirements
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Additional elective topics may include: Materials Handling, Bloodborne Pathogens, Machine Guarding, Safety & Health Programs
Each participant who successfully completes the required hours will receive an OSHA issued student completion card.
